The new DataFuse version 5.0 release focuses on substantial performance and usability advancements.
- Processing speeds have been increased up to 8x from the DataFuse 4.0 version when processing large files by automatically optimizing match methods within existing rules and providing parallel processing across multi-CPU platforms.
- Users now have the ability and flexibility to modify match rules between database updates without any additional user intervention. DataFuse now aligns all fields throughout the process automatically.
- GUI enhancements include a new graphical design methodology with Auto Generated Scripts (AGS). The new GUI standardizes system generated code for ease of maintenance, management and reuse across multiple processes.
- Over a dozen enhancing functions have been added to the DMUtils scripting language. These functions provide increased flexibility and code efficiency.
- For users with limited disk space, dynamic scaling of output files helps optimize disk space utilization between steps.
- Address key generation is now included standard for new workflows, enabling tracking of unique addresses over time (critical for compliance and fraud applications).
- Other usability enhancements include copy paste between workflows, enabling efficient code portability.
- New functionality now allows the user to determine how keys split at any level via the graphical interface.
- Processing reports have also been greatly improved, adding visual statistical reporting with hierarchical pie and graph chart views. Statistics can now be easily compared across time periods for quality trending reviews.
- Geocoding and address standardization enhancements include improved ISO Country coding, the addition of ELOT (Enhanced Line of Travel) tagging for quickly determining the most efficient order for mail delivery, and full support for LACS (Locatable Address Conversion System).
“The enhancements in our DataFuse version 5.0 are ‘game changing’ industry advancements. As a result, our client’s ability to quickly drill down, at a highly granular level, across disparate databases is second to none in the business. Never before has a user of data quality software had so much processing power for effectively converting their database into a well defined knowledge store and this knowledge into revenue,” says Orf.
DataFuse version 5.0 is currently being deployed to all DataFuse customers with an anticipated full deployment early second quarter.
